WE NOW HAVE ALL THE DATES FOR THE MOTORCYCLE SKILLS TEST IN THE EAST KOOTNEAY’S GIVEN TO US BY THE FINE FOLKS AT ICBC FOR 2026.

THESE ARE THE FOLLOWING DATES FOR THE MST PREP TO BE HELD IN THE CRANBROOK AREA AND ARE LIMITED TO 2-3 STUDENTS AT A TIME.

THESE DATES ARE BASED ON STUDENT INTEREST 

May 11th, 26 or 27th,

June 2nd or 3rd, 9th or 10th, 23rd.

July 6th, 14th 0r 15th, 21st or 22nd

Aug 4th or 5th. 

Motorcycle Skills Prep:

Our MST prep is designed for new riders who have taken the MST but were unsuccessful or those with past riding experience looking to challenge the MST soon.

We review MST expectations, assess rider abilities, and provide coaching on MST principles. This can be done individually or in small groups. Note that additional training may be required to build confidence and proficiency in the necessary disciplines.

Our ICBC licensed instructors will instruct, coach, and assist each student through all the required MST exercises, including:

• The use of the Friction Zone
• Head and eye placement
• Slow speed control techniques (U-turns, slaloms, figure 8, tight turns, acceleration, and deceleration up to 25-30 km/h)
• Defensive riding tactics

1st Choice Motorcycle School Students Reminders:

• Participants must have passed the knowledge portion of their BC motorcycle license to join MST Prep and have a roadworthy, insured motorcycle.
• Participants under 19 must have a consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian.
• Participants must provide their own riding gear (jacket, boots, pants, gloves, and a DOT-approved motorcycle helmet).
